Thing 10 - Embedding Videos

Here is a great video with a good description of what a career in speech language pathology might entail:








This is a video by Dr. Barbara Ehren, who is a speech language pathologist that specializes with adolescent language and literacy. You have to fast forward past the first story, which isn't too long, to get to her story. She is an excellent public speaker. I have been to three of her conferences. I can really identify with what she is saying on this video, since I work with adolescents who have receptive and/or expressive language impairments every day.





I found thing 10 to be very helpful. I have always wanted to have the skill to find useful videos or film clips to use with teaching. I think that film and video, when used correctly, can be very powerful teaching tools. The only thing I had some difficulty with was that there are so many different ways to do the same thing...it is so much easier to just remember one way! I went with the first method of embedding a video right to my blog.




Here is one more video I wanted to post because it is just so funny! It is a great example of procrastination!




I tried downloading the videos using the keepvideo site, but I couldn't get that to work. That was very frustrating!
